Figurative Work

John Davenport works with the figurative subject in the two-dimensional mediums of oil and pastel painting. The body of work in this genre draws upon both the abstract associations with nature and figures embedded in layered environments. The figures, more often solitary, are doing what comes natural when they have time to themselves or are doing some form of work.
