gets me started with my painting is my attraction to the wonders and
enigmas of the Ice Age landforms.
But there is more. Painting for me is about getting the
'feeling of the place.' Painting for me is also about the
invention of color equivalents and the trappings of light.
Then there is the physical act of painting, just putting paint on
linen. When a painting is going good, it is so much about
responding to the visceral quality of 'painting' itself.
